The Christopher Newport Sailing Foundation, Inc. &
the CNU Yacht Club Alumni Chapter
Dear CNU Sailing Community,
On Saturday, November 14, 2026, we’re bringing the CNU Sailing community together for one of our favorite days of the year: the CNU Yacht Club Alumni Regatta & Oyster Roast.
Whether you sailed for CNU 30 years ago, graduated last year, are a current sailor, a parent, a coach, or simply love CNU Sailing — you’re invited. Come race, come eat, come reconnect, or just come be part of the community.
Schedule
⛵ Start on the Water – Alumni Regatta
📍 Youth Sailing Virginia
🕛 12:00–4:00 PM
Free to participate! No registration needed!
Bring your boat, crew up with old teammates, or come cheer everyone on from the dock. The regatta is open to everyone — no matter when you sailed.
🦪 Then Come Ashore – Oyster Roast & CNU Sailing Celebration
📍 Hampton Yacht Club
🕔 5:00–9:00 PM
This is more than an oyster roast. It’s a chance to get old teammates back together, introduce new members of the CNU sailing family, and celebrate where CNU Sailing has been — and where we’re going.

Reach out to Anna Patterson at (757) 232-5066 or foundation@christophernewportsailingalumni.com.
🤝 Come for the Regatta. Stay for the Community.
This is what the CNU Yacht Club is all about — bringing generations of sailors back together, building new connections, preserving our traditions, and supporting the sailors on the water today.
Register for Oyster Roast here!
Interested in sponsoring the event? Reach out to Luke Hayes at (336) 707-7812 or lukehayes1822@gmail.com.
